POLICIES

Financial policy

Seven Star Acupuncture and Wellness, LLC is a busy practice run by a single practitioner with minimal administrative support. All patients are required to save a credit card on file (securely via Stripe) before scheduling their initial visit. This will enable a streamlined payment process at the time of check out and ensure a means for us to bill for late cancellation charges. All patient information will remain secure and confidential. No charges will be made to the card on file without patient consent.

Payment methods

In-person visits are payable by cash (exact change only), debit card, or credit card payment through the secure Stripe Payment Gateway (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Diner's Club). Tips are not required, although are greatly appreciated (either payable by exact cash or added to credit card charge at the time of service). Please note: a 2.7% surcharge will be added to all debit card and credit card transactions to cover processing fees.

Discounts

  1. "7 Star Loyalty Discount”: After 6 visits at full-price rates, receive your 7th visit at 25% off the regular service price. After this redemption, a new tally will begin. This discount cannot be applied to "Acupuncture packages" or combined with other discounts. This program only applies to the following services: acupuncture (initial and followup), bodywork (Vivian), medical qigong and Chinese herbal consult.

  2. We offer a 20% discount in appreciation to our active military, veterans and first responders. Relevant ID card must be presented at the time of initial visit to our facility to apply discount to all visits.

Late cancellation charges

All cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior to scheduled appointment. If an appointment is cancelled less than 24 hours before the appointment time, or if the patient arrives more than 20 minutes after the scheduled appointment time, we will bill the credit card a specific fee for missed services. The fees to be charged for missed appointments are: $60.00 for Acupuncture Initial Session, $45.00 for Acupuncture Follow up Session, $30.00 for Chinese Herbal Consultation, $45.00 for Asian Bodywork Therapy, and $45.00 for Medical Qigong Therapy. This is a necessary safeguard for our service-based business since late cancellations within 24 hours do not provide adequate scheduling opportunity for other clients or wait-list prospects. If the appointment is transferred to another family member/friend for the same service and fee, the late cancellation charge will be waived.

Scheduling initial visit

All patients must first register an online account at the Patient Portal page on the business website at https://www.sevenstaracu.com/patient-portal or via the secure web app at https://sevenstarwellness.acubliss.app/register . All patients must review and electronically sign the financial and office policies, HIPAA guidelines and the informed consent to treat. Please note: The informed consent and HIPAA notice will need to be reviewed and signed annually to confirm consent.

All service scheduling, appointment modifications, and cancellations are to be made online. Phone and email messages may not allow adequate reception due to practitioner’s busy schedule, and may delay reply to service patient requests in a timely manner.

Prior to initial visit to the facility, patients must complete the medical history form online, date and e-sign.
